Erasmus+ KA171 Student Mobility for Studies

The Erasmus+ KA171 Student Mobility for Studies allows students from partner countries (non-EU countries) to study at Eskişehir Technical University (ESTU) or enables ESTU students to study at one of ESTU’s partner universities under the KA171 project.

This mobility aims to provide students with an international learning experience, improve intercultural understanding, and support their academic and professional development.

🎯 Objectives

The main goal of KA171 Student Mobility is to help students:

  • Develop key academic and intercultural skills.
  • Enhance their employability through international experience.
  • Strengthen their ability to work in multicultural environments.

Through this program, students become part of an international academic community and gain valuable perspectives that contribute to their personal and professional growth.

🕒 Duration of the Mobility

  • The study mobility can last from 2 to 12 months (minimum 60 days).
  • The duration is determined according to the project agreement between the sending and receiving institutions.
  • Each mobility must be completed within the valid project period, typically 36 months (3 years) for a KA171 project.

💶 Grant Amounts

The Erasmus+ grant provides financial support to help cover living and travel expenses during the study period abroad.
Grant amounts are determined by the European Commission and Turkish National Agency, and may vary slightly by region.

  • Monthly Grant (Individual Support):

Incoming students receive their grant as €800 per month

  • Travel Support:

A one-time travel grant is provided based on the distance between the home and host institutions, calculated using the Erasmus+ distance calculator.

♻️ Green Travel Support

Erasmus+ encourages participants to choose environmentally friendly (green) travel options, such as train, bus, or carpooling, instead of air travel.
Students who opt for green travel can receive an additional one-time top-up. Participants must provide proof of sustainable travel (e.g., bus or train tickets) to be eligible for this support.
